We are Franciscans Friars, a religious order of priests and brothers, founded by St. Francis of Assisi. We seek to follow Jesus Christ more closely under the action of the Holy Spirit, as bearers of the Good News of the Kingdom of God in a small part the immensity of the rivers, forests and cities of the Brazilian Amazon.
We are Friars Minor who live the values of the Gospel, called to lead a simple and humble life among the people. The life of Jesus, the Sacred Scriptures, and the lessons of Francis of Assisi are our source of inspiration. We serve through prayer and contemplation, in pastoral and social services, in the ministry of reconciliation and religious assistance, and in missionary activity with indigenous peoples. We are particularly called to be among the poorest.
As Franciscan Friars, we live in fraternity, a place of Franciscan hospitality and joy. We pray individually and in common, we share meals and our time together, helping each other to grow, as a family.
